In order to strengthen the safety and quality management of lithium-ion batteries throughout their life cycle, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) approved the release of the national standard "Lithium-ion Battery Coding Rules", which will be implemented on November 1, 2025.
This standard gives each newly produced battery product a unique identity code, and its scope of application covers all levels of products from single cells to battery systems. Through "one battery, one code", the entire life cycle process from production to recycling can be controlled, providing an important reference for product traceability and industry supervision.

Coding object
1. Consumer lithium-ion battery: mainly refers to batteries used in mobile communication terminals, tablet computers, portable computers, wearable devices and other fields.
2. Large-power lithium-ion batteries (excluding automotive power batteries): mainly refers to batteries used in electric ships, electric aircraft and other fields.
3. Small power lithium-ion battery: mainly refers to batteries used in electric bicycles, electric motorcycles (two-wheeled/three-wheeled), electric scooters, electric balance cars and other fields.
4. Energy storage lithium-ion battery: mainly refers to batteries used in home energy storage, industrial and commercial energy storage, new energy storage and other fields.
